GE 44-Tonner Livery Release: FRISCO, PRR, PC 9999, WM 75 and 76 to Train Simulator Classic
Updated: 5 hours ago

The selection covers four distinct operations. We start with FRISCO (St. Louis-San Francisco Railway), highlighting the high-visibility black and yellow scheme, accurately applied across the panels and grilles of the dual hoods. On the opposite end of the design spectrum, we added the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) version. The PRR livery reflects the historical pragmatism of the company: a dark, rugged, utilitarian look built for daily work without aesthetic excesses.
We also brought Penn Central into the pack, specifically modeling unit 9999. In addition to the mating worms logo on the sides, PC 9999 received extra attention in dirt mapping to reflect the operational reality of the era—worn machines working hard on freight transfers.

Rounding out the roster, we included two Western Maryland units: WM 75 and WM 76. Rather than just applying a generic logo, we mapped the exact fonts and decal placements for each of these two road numbers to ensure maximum fidelity to real-world photographic references.

Across all repaints, we maintained our focus on weathering. The texture work simulates oil accumulation, track dust, and concentrated soot on the trucks and around the engine inspection doors. The materials have been configured to react correctly to the TS engine lighting, both under direct sunlight and during nighttime simulator operations.
The pack is now available and ready to use. Visit dieselworkshop.net to add these legends of the rail yards to your collection.
See you on the tracks!
